276 acres of woodland, field and floodplain habitat.
The Audubon property adjoins the Morristown National Park Brigade Area
The Field Loop and River Trails border the Passaic River.

 

Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge
241 Pleasant Plains Road, Basking Ridge, Somerset County

7,768 acre refuge provides for hiking and seasonal hunting.
Great Brook, Black Brook and their tributaries run through the refuge.

 

Lord Stirling Park

The river is accessible for canoe launching from the fishermans
parking lot ~1300 feet east of the education center. Trout stocked
at this location. Great Brook and Black Brook both join the Passaic
here. River vantages also accessible from the boardwalk or yellow trails.

The river is accessible along bridge and further down riverside trail

Mountain Avenue near Cory's Brook Road in Warren Township , Somerset County

Cory's Brook enters the Passaic here. Hiking trails only, dogs allowed on leash.
Distance to river too far for boat launch.

 

Matthew G. Kantor Memorial Park, formerly Riverside Recreation Park
Valley Road, Gillette, Long Hill Township, Morris County

On the south side of Valley Road, behind Municipal Building and Library
Soccer fields, playgrounds, trail leads near to river but area between usually too muddy
for boat launch.

 

Passaic River Parkway
End of River Road (off Springfield Avenue) in Berkeley Heights, Union County

Undeveloped preserve property, no signs. To end of River Road then left and up
onto park property for river access.
